Rare 50$ obsolete note, 1853, Farmers' & Exchange Bank of Charleston, SC, USA

Issued by the Farmers' & Exchange Bank of Charleston, South Carolina, high $50 denomination, dated, dated August 8, 1853. Rare pre-Civil War note, especially in high grade - the paper these were printed on seems to have been somewhat brittle, most of these notes have edge tears and cracks. This one is a problem-free attractive note, good edges, a few tiny pinholes. 

From an old US collection, the sticker price was 295$, but the collector paid 260$ for it at some point judging from the collection ticket.
